Le CinéMo

Born in 2025 out of the desire to share art-house cinema with those who don't have access to it, the CinéMo cinema-mobile criss-crosses France's communes to screen bold, unifying films. Accessible to all free of charge, the CinéMo offers free cinema screenings with free admission, in order to create spaces for dialogue, exchange and to pass on the passion for the 7ᵉ art to as many people as possible.

CinéMo's first regional tour of Île-de-France

2025
from June 26 to October 11

The first CinéMo regional tour, scheduled from June 26 to October 11, 2025, will criss-cross the Île-de-France region over a 16-week period, taking in the Val-d'Oise, Seine-et-Marne and Yvelines departments.

The inaugural CinéMo tour will focus on rural areas, targeting villages with fewer than 3,000 inhabitants, peri-urban areas and priority urban districts, in order to bring the cinema to those who don't have easy access to it, notably because of their geographical or economic situation. The Ile-de-France tour will also focus on the region's campsites as part of the Été culturel operation.

To support this approach, the tour relies on strong partnerships with local authorities, including the Île-de-France Region, the Direction régionale des affaires culturelles (DRAC) and the Préfecture de la Région d'Île-de-France, as well as with film festivals such as "L'Étrange festival".

Introducing the mobile cinema

Matthieu Joffres
The CinéMo was designed by Premices and Co, with support from the Canal+ Foundation.
Designed with the support of the Canal+ Foundation, the CinéMo is a 72-seat, CNC-compliant cinema truck, created by the design firm Premices and Co, which specializes in the circular economy and eco-design of cultural facilities. Thanks to its committed and accessible programming, the CinéMo will help educate people about images, address social issues and raise awareness of the cinema among young people.

Born of the desire to share art-house cinema with those who don't have access to it, the CinéMo travels the length and breadth of France to screen audacious, rallying films, create spaces for dialogue and exchange, and share the passion of the 7th art with as many people as possible.

Designer interviews

With this mobile cinema, Camille Chardayre, co-founder of Prémices and Co, and Jean-François Aimé, Creative Director, propose a response that is at once formal, sensitive and committed, echoing Jacques Tati's humanist vision: "Cinema is a pen, paper and hours of observing the world and its people.

Guided by this approach, they imagined a mobile cinema designed to go out and meet audiences, in a spirit of observation, listening and proximity. Their approach is in line with a desire to make culture accessible, particularly in isolated, rural or suburban areas. The choice of "fresh butter" yellow - a warm, familiar color, inspired by public service vehicles - is a strong visual signal, capable of uniting and creating a direct link with users. This luminous yellow, identifiable throughout France, transforms the truck into a comforting and welcoming cultural landmark. They designed a simple, monolithic, satin-finish shape, marked by geometric flat tints, that asserts its contemporary identity while remaining rooted in a tradition of service. The subtle contrast between yellow and violet, an absorbing and soothing color, enhances the cinematic experience, giving this traveling cinema an atmosphere that's intimate, comfortable and open to all.

"Mobility and making culture accessible are among the missions we support through our projects, and here, for the first time, through a mobile object such as the CinéMo. [...] Reaching out to audiences who aren't city dwellers is a creative commitment we're committed to, with the social and solidarity mission that this implies." Jean-François Aimé
